The Masada

The Masada was the last stronghold of the Jews as Jerusalem was taken over for the last time by the Romans. Many people died as they tried to defend this place. Fathers killed their own families and then themselves rather than give up to the Romans. When the Romans finally got to the top of the hill they found that almost all of the people were already dead. There was great courage shown here as the Jews did not give up.
