This is the Edfu Temple. This is the best preserved temple of Egyptian antiquity found. It was dedicated to the god Horus. The hawks of Horus guard the gate. The walls are covered with bas-reliefs depicting a story much like that of Adam and Eve and Caine and Able. It was very interesting to hear the stories and see the roots of all that we believe. Things were a little bit corrupted as they were animal gods, but truth can be found in the roots of these myths. One of the pictures of of the "Holy of Holies" where only the High Priest was allowed to go. The temple is built in four levels much like our temple. The telestial, terrestrial, celestial, and the Holy of Holies with the alter at the end.
